There are so many reasons we chant the Gayatri Mantran Gayatri Mantra! We chant (optionally of course) the shorter more essential version in our classes to invoke light to enter our minds! Gayatri is such an amazing and beautiful Mantra and the melody can be variable. What is important is visualizing the light in the mind!
