Blue Fin

Presently, the European Union is debating whether to put the Blue Fin tuna on the Endangered Species list because it has reached roughly 15% historic levels of populations and countries are realizing that the decimation and the extinction in numerical terms is very possible for the Blue Fin tuna due to the incredible demand for sushi restaurants for Blue Fin tuna. The ocean [inaudible] and the Blue Fin tuna is actually a warm-blooded fish species. It’s unique and many people are inclined to eat and they end up going to sushi restaurants [inaudible] and thinking why are they not doing themselves a favor, but they’re also doing a great down to the earth and to the oceans by participating in this industry that is devastating to the ecological balance of the oceans and the food chain. Remember, of course, that we are all completely connected and so we don’t really want to disturb something so much, and this kind of hunting and this kind of predation and this kind of killing just so satiate countries like Japan and ourselves and all the western world’s new found appetite for sushi. So remember that the reason to eat fish is for essential fatty acids and there’s many other places to get essential fatty acids, not fish. Please support, call Congress, call anyone [inaudible] representing your senate to support putting Blue Fin tuna on the endangered species list.
